Senior Welfare Division
The Senior Welfare division of Stiftung kreuznacher diakonie offers short and long-term care, services and housing for senior citizens in the Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland regions. We also operate five home care service centers that provide seniors with the necessary care in their own homes.
Within this program, caretakers visit and provide care to clients, who depend on homecare due to sudden illness, fractures or other similar short-term health problems. Furthermore, we offer a wide range of services that enable senior citizens to live in their own homes for as long as possible.
The five Diakonie home care service centers that provide care for the people living in these towns and the surrounding areas are located in:
- Bad Kreuznach
- Simmern
- Kirchberg
- Rheinböllen, and
- Traben-Trarbach,
Seniors have the possibility to visit a daycare center in one of the eleven geriatric care facilities operated by our senior welfare division and use this as a possibility to get to know the short and long-term in-house living options offered by the respective facility. Throughout the day, they can enjoy the activities offered by the daycare center and socialize with other guests, while at night, they are able to return to the comfort of their own homes. At our daycare center in Mainz-Gonsenheim, we provide seniors with the necessary care during the day, helping them to live as independently as possible.
The “Living Plus” program provides senior citizens with their own rooms or apartments that can be decorated and furnished according to their own tastes and needs. Thanks to the attachment of the “Living Plus” buildings to one of our inpatient care facilities, the seniors have the possibility to use the care services as needed, especially as they may require more assistance over time. We also offer short and long term in-house care.
In Bad Kreuznach we have two care facilities; Elisabeth Jaeger Haus and Wohnpark Sophie Scholl. At our care facilities Martin-Luther-Stift in Bingen and Dr. Theodor-Fricke-Altenpflegeheim in Simmern, we provide short and long-term care services. Find a new home at Pfarrer Kurt-Velten- Altenpflegeheim in Sohren or at Haus Bergfrieden in Kirn.
In the Saarland region, the senior welfare division operates five short and long-term care facilities at three different locations: Haus am Steinhübel and Wichernhaus in Saarbrücken, Caroline Fliedner Haus and Karl Ferdinand Haus in Neunkirchen, and Luise Deutsch Haus in Schwalbach.
